A terrible impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger reading William Wordsworth’s “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud”

If you’re like me, you like poetry. And cartoons. I’m not talking about any of that newfangled shit either. I prefer the old-school variety: Wile E. Coyote, Donald Duck, and of course, two of my favorites: Moose and Squirrel, aka Rocky and Bullwinkle.

You may remember that on Rocky and Bullwinkle (available on Netflix!), there was a segment called “Bullwinkle’s Poetry Corner” in which Bullwinkle hilariously read some famous poems.

Well, I’ve always wanted to try this, but with a terrible impression instead. And I do one terrible impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s truly awful, but it’s so much fun to do, especially because Arnold is so outlandish that it’s not hard to envision him saying some really bizarre things. So consider this an experimental project of sorts.

Two notes: (1) Sadly, no matter which impression I’m doing, all of my impressions inevitably seem to revert to Bill Cosby, so if that sneaks in, you know why.

(2), you’ll notice that I make the mistake of calling Arnold a German (when he’s Austrian) but I didn’t have a lot of time for many attempts; as you can see from the video, I’m bouncing a (teething!) baby. I’ve been trying to record this all night; he was quiet for exactly 11 minutes, in which I had time for two takes.

I humbly present Arnold reading Wordsworth’s “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.”

I like that Ollie is a part of this art project. And also that it turns out both you and Schwarzenegger are possessed by Bill Cosby.
