New edition of Finnegan’s Wake to have 9,000 changes
A new edition of Finnegan’s Wake to be published this week will include 9,000 changes in an attempt to make the text more readable. This change was done by scholars more than editors, but it still feels wrong to me. Thoughts?

Here’s another nice write up: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/weekend/2010/0313/1224266169488.html
Seems like some changes are necessary but not all. I definitely cannot get behind the idea that “where a sentence does not ‘run’ properly, where, for instance, it seems to lack a main verb, Rose is inclined to step in and remedy what he sees as the deficiency.”
